Your guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport and drive you west to Lake Mburo National Park, with a stop at the Uganda Equator crossing along the way. You'll arrive in time for an evening game drive.

Your guide will pick you up at Entebbe International Airport in your safari vehicle before the drive west to Lake Mburo National Park. The scenic drive takes approximately 5-6 hours. Along the way, you pass Masaka, known for its fertile farmlands and roadside fruit markets, as well as sections of Uganda’s cattle country where Ankole cattle are a signature sight. The roads are mostly paved and comfortable, with plenty of scenic views across gentle hills and open grazing land.

Along your drive, you'll cross the equator at Kayabwe — the point where the northern and southern hemispheres meet. It's a brief but memorable stop: you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere for a photo-worthy moment. There's also a small craft market on site for purchasing souvenirs.

Evening Game Drive at Lake Mburo National Park

Arrive at Lake Mburo in time for an evening game drive through Uganda's smallest savanna park. Lake Mburo is home to impala, warthogs, eland, topi, buffalo, and a rich variety of birdlife, and it's the only park in Uganda where you can find zebras. The soft light of late afternoon makes for excellent wildlife viewing and photography.
